Taman Pintar Yogyakarta
Taman Pintar Yogyakarta is an educational tourist spot especially for school-age children. Taman Pintar Yogyakarta is presented by the city government as a learning tool, where visitors are expected to be motivated towards science. The location is not far from Malioboro and is only adjacent to the Museum Benteng Vredeburg, making the Taman Pintar Yogyakarta easy to be accessed by anyone. In short, Taman Pintar is a science laboratory that is packaged into the form of recreational tourism.
The Taman Pintar Yogyakarta was built in the reign of Mayor Herry Zudianto, standing on the former shopping center and has an area of 1.2 hectares, and was inaugurated on May 20, 2006 by the Minister of Education at that time. The enthusiasm of the community and the welcome of the establishment of the smart park is very good, and demands further development. Therefore, this was responded to by the local government by developing or developing the next stage. The last stage of development was inaugurated by the President on December 16, 2008. The main vision and mission of Taman Pintar is to support learning that has been done in regular schools by honing creativity, with the hope that more innovators in the field of science and technology will be born in Indonesia.
Regarding the facilities contained in the Taman Pintar Yogyakarta are divided into three main buildings, namely the Gedung Kotak, Gedung Oval and Gedung Memorabilia. In the Gedung Kotak there are 10 rides or zones, such as replica zones, keris collection zones, batik zones etc. In the next building, namely the Gedung Oval, there are climate and earthquake weather vehicles, ancient life rides, information technology vehicles, etc. And the Gedung Memorabilia contains three historical vehicles related to the history of the Palace, educational and Presidential figures.
